Dara Nasr, vice-president of global sales at WeTransfer Advertising, is to leave the business at the end of April this year after 15 months in the role.
Nasr joined WeTransfer in January 2024 a year after leaving X as UK managing director.
He was brought in to WeTransfer to help establish and grow its sales arm to prepare it for IPO or acquisition. In July the same year, the business was acquired by software technology company Bending Spoons for an undisclosed sum.
Following the acquisition, Bending Spoons announced plans to cut 75% of WeTransfer’s workforce.
Since the acquisition, Nasr has been working closely with the senior management team at Bending Spoons to integrate the business.
When he leaves in April, Nasr will hand over global sales responsibility to Bending Spoons media design team lead Clara Vanni D'Archirafi.
Commenting on his departure, Nasr said: “I have been working closely with Clara and other equally amazing members of their senior leadership team to incorporate WeTransfer into their existing portfolio of business.
“There is still a lot to do but we will have transitioned fully by the end of April when I will hand over the baton. It has been a total pleasure and privilege.”
Nasr is currently seeking opportunities for his next move.
